Whitethroat in field near Crossflatts West Yorks

Out early to miss the rain - first pic of the day and I think the best

Techs
20D 400mm 5.6L x2, tripod remote release. ISO 800, 800th F14, about half the frame.

By for now - John

Great looking Whitethroat shot John.
Nor generally easy to get on at this time of year let alone catch out in the open.
Slight pity about the middle dark twig. I am sure that could be cloned out though.
Nice image. :toast:

Shame about the twigs behind the bird, but nonetheless a great shot of a reclusive bird. Love the background colour.

This is one species I have been trying to get close to recently & have failed every time. Here you have achieved a great shot & now seeing this it will push me to keep trying.

Excellent shot with great light. Good technique as well with the 400 + 2x TC, it looks a nice sharp image from here.
