I'm deep in Photoshop CS bu David Blatner & Bruce Fraser. Huge amounts of tech info, written so I can actually understand and absorb it. Mark H. suggests Photoshop CS Artistry by Barry Haynes & Wendy Crumpler. I've looked at it, it seems as though getting accustomed to style/organization might be a little bit of a threshold but not too bad.

Anyone else got good suggestions?

Just finished "Photoshop LAB Color" by Dan Margulis (thanks to Mark Hudon for mentioning this book)
Tough to follow in some places, mainly the last half, but a great book and well written.
If you enjoy factoring trinomials, this book will be right up your alley :wavey:

I don't know about books, but Photoshop is indeed a beast. I've used it regularly for 13 years and still find new tricks and hidden gems. It's the Swiss army knife for digital images, kitchen sink included.

Being new to the digatal realm I am in the midst of Real Word Camera Raw with Adobe Photoshop CS2 by Bruce Fraser. It is an excellent read on what all can be done with ACR.
