Eagle with lunch
The other morning we were treated to this eagle landing in a tree about 100 feet from where we wre standing to catch flyovers. A juvie flew in and tried to take it away and they had a brief discussion about that. There were several standing ther that got a nice series of shots as the meal progressed. The bird is missing talon from left center toe, it is more visable in some of the other images. Didn't seem to be a problem either carying teh catch or handeling it while eating.
