As indicated in my response to Carey's "Going Full Frame" post, I am interested in the new Sony A7r (A7) for hiking, backpacking, and overall landscape photography. Anyone using it at this point? Impressions? Thanks. :wavey:

Hello Scott, I do have the A7r since last November. I bought it as a replacement or upgrading for my full frame Sony A900. The camera is really excellent ! However if you tend to hike without a tripod do not forget it does not have the stabilization in-body and that any shaking hand movement is emphasized with the 36mp sensor. However if you put on a tripod and do a careful focusing it is stunning. There is a lot of things discussed and written about it on the OnLandscape page
