Not much happening in the desert southwest this year so if you you have something from past years (or this year) feel free to post'em. :wavey:

I'll get things started with this shot from last year's Cedar Mesa trip with Brian VanDenzen.

Great shot, Adam! Beautiful lighting on those wildflowers. The complimentary colors of the red rocks and the green work well in this image too.

You're right, a sadly dry year this was. However, the saguaros have been blooming pretty profusely anyway, here in Tucson. This photo taken weekend before last in Sabino Canyon.

This is a shot from last year -- taken along the Red Dot Trail near the Rio Grande and White Rock, NM.

Hi Pat! Good to see you around.

I like the blue-grey color of the BG, what was it?

Hi Adam...

The background is from the rock the cactus was growing out of (I would guess basalt).

I've come up for a breath but still have a huge workload to get outta the way -- the good news is the photo work is staring to pick up. Unfortunately, the day job has gone nuts at precisely the same time.

Excellent images folks!

This one is more of a "Man and Nature" shot - a blooming orchard at Fruita.

Hasselblad 500cm, Zeiss 150/4
