We have some 60 acres of undeveloped desert behind our place and it seems to be an animal corridor for coyotes, javelina's and bobcats to move around NW Tucson. I thought I would share some images from a mom bobcat with two cubs stopping to get a drink from one of the small water trays we leave out in the desert about 50 feet off the back porch.
The first set of images were taken from inside the living room through sliding glass door to the porch. I was using my 300 f4 with 1.4 TC so I could not zoom in/out. At first I only saw the cubs but mom bobcat later came out and joined the cubs always keeping watch. One of the cubs climbed a tree while the other was checking out some quail. When I opened the sliding glass door and stepped onto the back porch the cubs became nervous so I did not stay out on the back porch very long and they moved on.
Regards,
Jim

When I stepped out to the back porch the cubs became nervous but mom just watched me and did not seem bothered too much.

I took a couple of more pictures and went back inside so they would relax and then the family moved on. Thanks for looking.
Love the entire series here, Jim. A very fine collection from your back acreage.
