This month's POTM/cover shot is a beautiful photo of a Red-crested Pochard by NPN member Hans Overduin. A masterfully crafted image, our thanks to Hans for posting it on NPN!
Alain Briot's essay for the month offers some great advice on setting goals for your photography with his essay Being Successful Reaching your Goals in 2014. As is usually the case with Alain's essays, the advice given also translates well to other activities beyond photography. If you have not done so, you should set some time aside to read all of Alain's essays, which are listed on the Articles & Reviews page, a link to which is found in the Instruction drop-down menu at the top of the page.
Finally, Paul W. Faust serves up a trio of book reviews which should be of interest to all nature photographers. Be sure to check them out!
