I need a shoulder !! ;)
I finally made the decision to stop teaching photography. I have been struggling with the idea of six months now and I sent out my good byes to clients today.
Health issues are just getting to be to hard to push trough anymore. I am just to tired to keep up the front of seven years of smiling and saying I am o.k.. It is time I learned to listen to my body and rest. This winter has been one of my hardest yet.
I will miss the lessons as it was so much fun to share the passion of photography with new people and to play with all their yummy new gear !
It's not forever ,just for now. I took three months off over Christmas and tried just limiting it to 8 a month but even that has been to much.
It sucks being an old broad !!
I'll get better ,it is just going to take more time than I thought.
I know some of you will know what it is like when health and life get in the way of your art and passion.
Thank you for your continued support and well wishes of the time I have been on NPN.
Hey I will finally have time for my own photography now at least and get back to posting regularly !!
Sorry for dumping on your lawn,

It's a good thing to speak it out, Lorna. My wife is in the same position as you health-wise, so when you said "too tired to keep up the front of seven years of smiling and saying I am o.k", I completely understood. Take care of you fully now, and you'll be in much better shape for the future when that time is ready.

Thanks Paul,
I am a bit bull headed and it has taken me awhile to learn my limits. I am 45 I am supposed to still be invincible !!
I wish your wife all the best and a future of healthy days !!
Wishing you a quick recovery. You live in a beautiful area, enjoy it thoroughly and if you feel you can't send us some images from past shoots. Keep us posted.

Please, Lorna, gather strength to overcome your illness and come back with all the might and glory and feel invincible once more, until then rest and keep your camera at arms length, for a quick take here and there. Please keep posting images.

Thanks Louis for you kind words and concern !!
I have recently been diagnosed with advanced stage 2 COPD so at least we now know what we are dealing with and can start to get it under control . Looking forward to endless days of spring photo opps !!
The kicker is I was always a healthy person ,no smoking ,drugs, drinking. If I had known by 45 I be using duct tape to keep me going I would have rethought my 20"s !!!
