There ae 3 kinds of boobies, the red-footed, blue-footed, and this one, the Nazca booby.
They ae slightly smaller than a large goose, but very adept, fast flyers and divers. They are VERY noisy, and lay their eggs on a small depression in the gravel. The male brings various sticks, stones, twigs, and moss to the female in courting, but it is just for "show" since none are used in an actual nest.
I have some images of a femlae with eggs on the nest that i will post eventually.
