Hi everyone! For many years now I have been quietly working on a large hard cover coffee table book on Rocky Mountain National Park. It is 224 pages, has over 170 of my favorite photos and is roughly 11"x12" in a landscape orientation. It also includes a text of roughly 20,000 words that look at the park from many different perspectives. This book is timed to be released in conjunction with RMNP's 100th anniversary celebrations which begin this September.
I'm now offering it available for pre-order together with a number of nice perks including entry into a drawing for nearly $4,000 worth of fine art plaques from my gallery. If you are interested in knowing more visit this link: http://imagesofrmnp.com/product/wild-light/

I just saw this on your FB page. Your book should be a certain winner.

Outstanding! And, what may be your signature shot on the cover. It doesn't get any better than this.

Very Cool, I put in my order!

WOW, Erik, the book looks spectacular! I'm certain it will be a best seller.
Is there an option to pick up this pre-release offer at your gallery, instead of paying for shipping?
Either way, it will definitely be on our coffee table.
Congratulations, Erik! This looks to be a monumental effort and achievement. I am placing my order too and look forward to winning the grand prize!

Congrats, Erik! Now I know what to ask for for my birthday.

Erik, kudos. This looks like a wonderful book. Wondering if you've considered a Kickstarter campaign. The incentives you've laid out are perfect for it.

Wesley, thanks for the suggestion. I seriously considered Kickstarter but decided that I would do much better on my own. This book will mostly be of interest to people who know and love Rocky Mountain National Park and I already have a pretty wide reach with this audience. Most folks on Kickstarter wouldn't have that same connection or interest in the park. Also, they take a significant percentage of the income, then you have to take payments via their system which also takes a percentage. Those percentages add up to quite a bit. Then, if you don't reach the goal you set, you don't get any of the money. By doing it myself, I bypass those problems while still getting the same benefit. At least that's my hope. In the first 7 hours I've sold about 100 copies, so I'm hopeful that I'll make 400 within a month. If not, then I just have to do a smaller press run than I would like.

Eric, you are the man. I can't imagine anyone else showcasing that spectacular Park with imagery like yours. I cannot wait to see this book.
So excited for this, Erik! Congratulations for completing what I'm sure will be a beautiful and inspiring book!

Congrats, Erik! From what I see, the book looks awesome and I'm sure it will be a big hit, especially with the park anniversary coming up.

No doubt this will be a STUNNING book. Having been in the gallery last July, I'm already forming a "wish list" of plaques I'd like to see hanging in my house.
Best of luck!

Thanks so much everyone!!! When people ask how I learned landscape photography, I often share that I learned most everything from this group here. Thanks for being so supportive and constantly challenging me to do better!
Thanks everyone for all of your support on this book project. I had hoped to sell 400 copies by this Friday but am already at 600 copies! I know that many of you have pre-purchased this book and so I want to say a big THANK YOU!!! I now have the funds needed to get this to press.
Right now the book is in review at the NPS office. Once we finish making the changes they require, it will be sent off for its final edit and then off to press!
On April 14th we will hold our drawing and someone is going to win nearly $4,000 in fine art plaques. Stay tuned!

Congratulations Erik! Nicely run promotion - and the pictures sell themselves! Looking forward to this!
