I found this scene when I was in northern California over Christmas. We were on highway 1 traveling just north of Ft Ross and ran across the gorgeous light seeping through the trees. I had fun actually stepping out of my normal box and trying a few landscape images. I also played around with some cityscape images for a night in San Fransico. One of the best trips I have been on in awhile.
This is awesome, Kurt! Have you thought about converting it to a dark and moody black and white image? I bet it would rock - if you're into that sort of thing.
Kurt, I think this one is perfect. This one is an absolutely perfect scene with excellent processing. The color processing looks so enchanting to my eye. This is one of those images where B&W would work well too but I'm a color guy so why even go there when you already have the perfect color tonalities. I'm interested in what the guys over in the Landscape gallery think.
I might buy this one from you!!!

The light beams streaming into the tunnel are really cool. There is a bright trunk on the right side of the road that might be darkened.. Those angled trunks leaning into the tunnel are interesting.
Gorgeous shot, Kurt! One of the best shots I've seen of a roadway!

Amazing image Kurt and processed beautifully. The amount of detail in the tree limbs and so many light beams is mesmerizing. I might even be tempted to try a crop off the bottom to eliminate the road to even more emphasize the detail in the shot.
