Anyone have an on-site report on the spill in Galveston Bay? A ship-ship collision, apparently. Terrible timing: its at or approaching the peak of shorebird migration there. And it's the 25th anniversary of the Exxon Valdez disaster in Prince William Sound.

Jim, I mentioned this horrific anniversary date earlier in Stan's post on the oceans being used as a dump. All I have is what the news is saying. It sounds like the Coast Guard swung into action fairly quickly, but there is still going to be environmental damage according to their initial report...... :frown:

Good friends of mine are there. He works on the site and says that peeps and pelicans are showing up with oil on them and because of the wind and waves the booms are not working well
