Old Timer - June Cover
Found only in California, the Coast Redwood (Sequoia Semperviren), is also one of the oldest living trees in the world. This one, estimated to be 2000 years old and well over 250 feet tall has been called the Father of the Forest. Big Basin State Park, in the Santa Cruz Mountains.

Such a massive tree, I wasn't aware that BBSP named their trees. How far back were you from the trunk?

I am about 25 to 30 feet back from the tree.

A nice intimate photo, Youssef. Although the main tree occupies most of the frame, I like how you incorporated additional foliage into the composition.

Neat shot, but I think having someone or something else in the scene for scale would really set this image apart.
