Ospreys
I returned to an osprey nest a week ago hoping to find the ospreys around as a nearly full moon rose behind the tree. Here is one of the images. I have posted more on my Ed Fuhr Photography facebook page where I have also posted some winter pictures from the Tetons and Shenandoah. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Ed-Fuhr-Photography/231233096948587

Excellent photography! That full moon really made the first two quite special, especially #1. That may well be the most unique osprey image that I've ever seen. The fact that you were able to get such good detail from the bird while not 'blowing out' the moon is a minor miracle to me.
I'm almost embarrassed to make this minor suggestion, but I think that eliminating the small vertical branch in #1 would add greatly to the almost Zen-like simplicity present.
Superb work, Ed!

Nice series! Very creative use of the moon, Ed, 1 is my favorite.

Thanks, guys! John, I have come so close to taking that out but have been torn in thinking maybe it helps preserve the balance, but I do think on the whole it distracts more than it helps. Thanks!

Very creative shots Ed. My favorite is the first image. I agree with John about the small branch on the left as it distracts from the subject a tiny bit. If it were mine, I might also consider loosing a bit more off the left and top (in other words, keep the same ratio, just crop it down a tad. I don't mind the negative space, but I think a little less of it would make the image stronger. Still very nice job!
