Hi Javier
The very nice warm light brings out the detail in the feathers. :toast:

Hi Javier
a very nice picture of the bird and beautiful lighting. The composition is strong. 15 hrs. is a long time to be in a hide was there any chance of other species coming in or any animals?

Rene,

This was taken at Magnus Carlsson's site (www.taigavision.com). He has got very nice set-ups for black grouse. Worth a visit.

John,

Only black grouse at this site but plenty of them to be busy from 6-9 pm and 4-8 am and a comfortable tent with hot tea.

Thanks Javier, i thought it was his place. I have been thinking about going there as well but i got the impression that other than grouse there is not much else to do, or is there?......maybe next year!

Rene,

I think the best is to talk to him, he is setting up some sites for capercaille that look very promising. There are other species to be photographed at different times of year including red-throated divers, beavers, etc. He is a very young and cheerful chap and I think he will be offering very good photography sites.

Maybe a bit tight in the frame but the detail and light are fantastic, certainly looks to be somewhere that is worthy of consideration for a visit......
