Slow Start
2014 has been off to a slow start with only one fruitful trip to the Grand Canyon. Weather in northern Arizona has been fairly lacking and uncooperative. Here is a subtle sunset from the local wetlands taken several days ago. A Zerene focus stack of 4 images for dof and a hand-blend for exposure of the sky.

I imagine focus stacking really brings out the fine detail in the foreground. Unfortunately I can't appreciate it on my tiny screen.

Looks great, Doug. Lots of interesting detail, very nice comp, and the sky blend looks super clean. :toast:

This is a wonderful composition, Doug. Sharp from fore to aft and perfectly 'developed'. If this is an easy location to reach, I could see returning again and again awaiting the perfect sunrise/sunset conditions.

Thanks Andrew, Jared and John. The wetlands are only a couple of minutes from the house so I get there often.

Nice! Almost looks more like fall than spring.

Great composition and exposure control Doug. I really like the subtle colors in the sky and on the reeds in the center of the image. Skillfully done. :toast:
