Business travel took me to Portland today. Plane got in on time, got checked into the hotel and did some work prep then grabbed the camera and headed out. 2 hour drive to the coast or 15 minutes to the Japanese Gardens? The coin flip came up Gardens. I spent a couple of hours there. Besides the multitude of photo ops it is a very peaceful and tranquil place. Check it out if you're ever in Portland. And thanks to Richie V for telling me about this place.
I'm glad you chose this venue with your coin toss. What a lovely place, and you did it justice. #2 is especially interesting, but I do wish the entirety of both rocks had made it into the frame. #4 is just plain cool!
Thanks for the kind words, John. I really enjoy shooting at the Gardens. And here's an image with both of the rocks in view. Just a wee bit different angle of view.
Bill, what a beautiful set. That's a place I could just get lost in for about 4 hours. I think #4 is composed well and wins the trophy for my favorite. Your first image is superb as well, just wish there was a bit more reflection.

Wonderful set Bill! #1 and #3 are my favorites. Definitely think the repost of #2 works much better. I'm heading up to Oregon next week and am going to try to get to Portland to see this place.
Definitely worth spending some time there, Scott. And with things in the PNW leafing out it's a great time of year to be there.

Of these, preference to #4. I like the snakelike twisting nature of the limbs. The image overall seems a little flat though. I will second Kane's desire for more reflection. Looks like a calming place to spend time.
