Are they sure they landed that thing on Mars?? That landscape sure looks like a stretch of the Superstition Hwy about 30 miles east of Phoenix...

For a very in-depth analysis of the image, I would suggest The Planetary Society's unmannedspaceflight.com. This community relentlessly analyzes information coming out of the rovers on a daily basis - some even work within the program.
