Richard, I have noticed on some of mine the time date data is off and have had to go in and reset the data. Never gave it much thought until I considered sending some photos into a contest but one of the requirements was the photos had to be taken within the last 3 years, which mine were, but not by the time date data. Also, I my first Rebel D, I did not set the time date and many of these photos are dated 1980! Good thing to keep correct, I have used the info to plan when certain plants may be in bloom, or when certain birds may be going through the area.
Perhaps I wasn't clear in my original. This is not about the date/time recorded by the camera in the image EXIF; this is about the time shown for the post of an image or comment here at NPN. I've grabbed the data from the first comment - it indicates that the message was posted at 1:58 pm MST when the actual time of the post was about 4 hours different (9:58 or so MST).
My cameras have the correct time set and that data always shows correctly for me in the EXIF.
I noticed it this morning, when I was on about 12:30 pm and noticed the the time stamp on my latest post said 2:07 pm. Can I push this time clock back about 20 years?
I just saw this today on a photo in flora from Pat Sampson. The way that the comments are showing up for me are making some of Pat's replies show up before the comments that he was actually referring to.
