falls on yacolt creek
I think this falls will be a great spot to develope technique on as it has large and small parts and very good access. First day was bright mid-day and way to contasty. this shot was overcast, but couldnt spend much time. Camp ground 7 miles away may get me a full day for lighting. comments please? D200, 28-70 at 45mm, F-22, .3 sec. and polarizer.

This falls is a pretty find. I like the detail in the water here, you can see vertical lines flowing down each step of the way. Some more vegetation included in the shot, or maybe a hint of the creek above stretching back into the distance (if possible without levitation) might enhance this photo.

Jerry,
It looks a little dark and myabe the greens could have a little more snap. I think this area worth more visits. Maybe when there is less water it would be a little easier to shoot.

Jerry.

I too use the D200 & the 28-70 Lens. Its tack sharp isn't it.

There are a few waterfalls here in Ohio and all have too much water to bring out some detail in the rocks. I may have to check this spot out next week when I'm in the area.

Thanks for the image. I like it!

Good comp with the two cascades framed by the cliffs with the strip of green on the top and just enough of the pool included to give a sense of place. It does look like an interesting spot and well worth visiting again.
