Thank you and apology, GOTM

I wanted to belatedly thank Jim and Donna, and the moderators involved, for the selection of my NPN gallery for the Gallery of the Month back in April. I apologize for not acknowledging this wonderful honor at the time but my heart and mind have been far from anything dealing with art and photography for the last 8 weeks or so. My 84 year old father was diagnosed with terminal cancer in March and passed away April 12. Fortunately both my brother and I, and our wives, were able to travel to eastern Washington, where our parents have lived for the past 30 of their 61 years together, in March to spend some time with our father before he passed away and to help our mother during this time. It hasn't been easy, as I'm sure many of you can attest to.
Anyway, the honor of Gallery of the Month is a wonderful and encouraging surprise, truly a gift, during a very difficult time. So again, I thank you.

Vance, so sorry to hear of your loss. May that one and only true Almighty God, comfort and fill you with His truth and understanding in this time of sorrow.

Vance, I'm so sorry for your loss. Thank God you could all be together. I know your Dad is still with you. I'll say a prayer for your peace and comfort during this difficult time. Congratulations on your gallery! Well deserved

Vance, sadly part of our life cycle includes having the passing of family members, friends, and pets too. As I've aged I find that pace becomes a bit too often making it harder to maintain a normal thought pattern. I'm very sorry to hear about the passing of your father recently. My two brothers and I had that happen to our own father not more then a few years back now too.....

I'm so sorry to hear about your Dad Vance. I lost mine 14 years ago and still think about him daily. The GOTM is little consolation but every bit helps, and you certainly deserve the honor.

So sorry to hear about your father, Vance. I lost mine quite a few years ago ad still miss him everyday . You photography is very deserving of the GOTM. I love your work. It is very inspiring to me and I hope you find your footing soon.

So sorry to hear about your loss. My wife just lost her grandmother at 97 years old, so my heart is definitely in tune with your loss right now. Your gallery is well deserved of the acknowledgement. I have admired your work for a long time. Be patient, God is with those who are patient.
