Just wanted to point out this upcoming event in June.
-------------------------------------------------------
Time: Thursday, June 1, 2006 7:30 PM
Location: Tattered Cover - LoDo
Title of Event: Rocky Mountain Land Series with David Muench & Ruth Rudner
David Muench, one of the country's premier landscape photographers, and acclaimed journalist and essayist Ruth Rudner, will present a slide show and sign their new book Our National Parks ($50.00 Graphic Arts Center). There are more than 380 national parks in the U.S. and they are the crown jewels of our nation's landscape. In this book, Muench's images and Rudner's moving essay capture the essence of well-visited park icons, as well as the lesser-known and seldom-seen wilderness areas of the parks.
Bummer, I'm on kid duty that night. Otherwise, I'd be there, for sure
You have your priorities straight! It'll pay off down the road. After all, nothing replaces DAD as I'm sure you know!
There will be other presentations.
Sounds like a good show. He did a slide show last year that a group of us attended - obviously great photography, but he also seems like a genuinely nice guy. Sorry to say I'll miss this one due to work.
I will be there if I don't have kid duty! I absolutely love Muench's work, so I would hate to miss this! I would be down for meeting before the show as well, but I probably won't know I am going until the last minute.
Jeesh, now that I haved moved to Pagosa Springs which is hours from Denver (but minutes from San Juan photography areas), I hate to say I can't be there. Please, someone, give a smile and a nod for me. Its kinda like I'm almost a SWNP member who is way too far away to participate. Shucks!
Everyone (from CNP ) who is going to dinner before the show is welcome to stop by my home for a bit of a Happy Hour. Since we can walk to dinner and the Tattered Cover from my place it seems like a logical meeting place. I'll have plenty of beer (but only a modicum of snacks ) and anyone who is interested is welcome to come over after 5:00 p.m. I live in the Watertower Lofts at 2960 Inca Street, Unit 118. It's really easy to get to but only Mapquest seems to have accurate directions. Feel free to call me on my cell phone if you have any questions - 3 oh 3-257-6 oh oh 2.
Ken - If you make the trip up from Pagosa Springs, you're welcome to my guestroom. (Especially since Nat Coalson and I will be looking for a place to crash in your neck of the woods in July! )
I will be coming down after work (hopefully leaving a bit early). I think meeting at CAZ's makes sense, but if I get caught up I would like to know where to meet for dinner.
I'd suggest Dixon's because it's reasonably priced and 1/2 a block from the Tattered Cover but since Todd was the one who suggested dinner in the first place... Todd did you have anywhere particular in mind?
CAZ - I am pretty sure I will be stopping by your place. I'm open to almost anyplace to eat and I have never been to Dixon's. New places are always interesting.

If this was in July I'd be their! Damn, almost makes me want to buy a plane ticket!
Probably should show up a little early for better seats.

Do you want to refine the time and place early next week?

I think I will be definitely stopping by your place before hand. I have never been to Dixon's, so it sounds perfect for dinner!

Sounds great! If you have any questions just call me on my cell phone (number above). Otherwise just show up.
