OT: Back in Oregon
One of the great things about traveling 45 weeks per year for business is that occasionally I can tack on a couple extra days if I'm going somewhere cool. In this case, I have 2 days of meetings in Portland this week so I flew in on Saturday morning giving me 2 1/2 days to search for images. I spent the first 1 1/2 days in the Gorge then took a day trip to Ilwaco, WA and Ecola State Park in Cannon Beach Oregon. Quick edits on my travel laptop but thought I'd share some.

#3 I struck out twice on sunset images. First day, no clouds no color. Second day, all fog, no sun. So I started looking for extraction comps.

#4 I was going to shoot sunset by the Haystack on Cannon Beach but the fog bank on the horizon was getting closer so I headed up to Ecola State Park for this late afternoon view before the sun went away

#5 Looking north from the Cape Disappointment Lighthouse near Ilwaco, WA. Yes, Virginia, the white stuff on the rocks is a couple centuries of built up bird poo.

#6 Last one. There are lots of little wildflowers blooming all over the place. This is on the trail to the lighthouse.

Great series! That is a lot of travel you do but nice you can get some photography in on the road.

It's a good deal that you can add some photo days onto your business travel. I like the first and the view in #4 from Ecola.
