The desert wildflowers have shone their beauty and wont be back till next year. But for you mountain shooters the flowers should be coming along right on schedule. Let's see your wildflower images this month. My starter entitled "Horton Creek Columbine" was taken just last week in the Mogollon rim area of Arizona along Horton Creek, Tonto National Forest.
En route home from Telluride / Alta Lakes / Ophir area, I swung through Crested Butte and up Kebler Pass to Ohio Pass and back down to Gunnison, before heading back to Denver.
On the way down Ohio Pass, after creating a few images of The Castles, I came across this field of wildflowers and just had to stop!
No longer living in the Rockies, but I thought I'd post this one for the heck of it...
Mountain wildflowers are mostly a few weeks away yet, but this one hillside was starting to get going. Rainier is in the background. Twilight, obviously...
Ten images, two of each frame for a focal stack and exposure, hand-blended, then stitched.
