I was contacted back in May regarding usage of one of my images in one of their calendar lines. They asked my permission via e-mail to use the image and the photo editor indicated their standard contract would be e-mailed to me. I've followed up with her several times since and still...no contract. Has anyone else dealt with them before and is this pretty typical? I did verify the photo editor was legit and does work for them (she's on LinkedIn) and found several other references to her working for them, and the company web site is now displaying the calendar in question and my image is on it - so the usage is legit. I'm just now concerned that I won't get paid since there's no contract. Just curious if anyone else has had trouble with them in the past and what they did to get their attention and resolution. Thanks.

The company is BrownTrout. I sold a photo to them a few years ago; they were pretty diligent in getting me a contract and getting me paid. I'd suggest a telephone call, first to the photo editor and if that doesn't work then someone up the table of organization. You might also try a message through FaceBook.
