I can get the avatar size to 48x48 pixels but smallest file size I am geting is 22.6kb instead of the required 10kb. Any tips??? Any help is appreciated.

Make sure you convert to 8 bit, rather than 16 bit if it isn't already, then just use Save for the Web and set the size down to 10k. At 48 pixels, quality really doesn't matter.

Thanks Keith, I'll try that tonight. I appreciate it.
