Once again I feel compelled to thank the membership for making my life difficult as I chose a weekly pick for "The Eyes Have It" challenge. In my first pass through all of the fine postings, I listed more than half as having some outstanding aspect. As I further narrowed the list, I found myself putting the images into 3 categories:

Compelling stares: (both eyes sharp and looking at the viewer)
Ashleigh Scully
Jenaya Launstein
Mike Ramy
Charles Gangas

Lovely Portraits: (side views)
Bob McQuade
Carol Hyman
Mike Ramy (Emerald Eye)

Unusual views:
John Tobias
Ronald Murphy
Karen Kane (Bison's Viewpoint)
Scott Lanz

As you can see, the "narrowing" wasn't particularly effective.

Mark, obviously a tough narrowing as you've mentioned. Two points to make here: your understanding and dedication to photography in general gives you the expertise to see the quality being posted in the gallery, AND, it is NPN after all where quality does make the difference......truly a great job by you and the WC group overall.

Mark, we can relate: we end up with 450 outstanding photos at the end of every year to go through.
Our thanks to you and all the moderators for taking care of the weekly selections!
