Its getting late for sunflowers however there is one very nice field that was peaking on Monday. I went back out on Tuesday and it still looked great. I'm headed back tomorrow night. I certainly can't guarantee the flowers haven't started their drooping process but I bet there's still some good areas to be had. The location is 72nd and Imboden. Take I 70 east, exit Watkins, drive east on colfax about 2 miles and turn left on Imboden. Take it to 72nd.

If you are interested, there's a gas/water tank pullout that's fairly obvious; that's where my maroon Jeep Grand Cherokee will be parked. I'm guessing I'll be there around 5:30-6:00. I'll be the dork up on a ladder.

Weather calls for 67% cloud cover, and substantially less thunderstorm action compared to tonight and the past few nights. Most of the potential rain will happen between 1:00 and 6:00 which means a gradual cloud burn off from 6-sunset. IMO, these are great conditions for sunset photography with sunflowers.

See ya there!

Here's a shot from Monday

Have Fun! Nice field, and if I recall a bit hilly. Watch out for low flying jets!

north winds should clear things out pretty nicely tomorrow! Nice test shot BTW

Great capture, awesome light! I'd be tempted to crop it tighter, particularly from the bottom, but it's great as is too.

Thanks Jack, I see your point. In fact, I sort of saw your vision last night when I put this one together.

That's freakin' awesome! I love sunflowers and wish I could make the trip but it's a long way from Junction...
