While we have had some Eagles around all year and the numbers have been increasing of late, this week there has been enough to warrent making a trip to the Lock to watch and see if I can get a decent image. Most years I don't start till around Christmas, but with 75-100 around it is worth it. And the weather was nice today, though usualy the colder the weather the better the Eagles work and I am sure we will have a lot more gathered when the river locks up. This is from this morning's trip. Caught this one and even got a couple decent shots of a Kingfisher.

It sounds like the number of Bald Eagles is increasing if you have that many Eagles earlier in the season, and that is great news. Thanks for sharing, Kendall...looking forward to seeing more!
