Tongue and Groove
I come from England so it's hard to get out and shoot in the desert as much as i would like. Consequently I'm often looking back at old images and trying to reprocess them in a different way. This was originally shot in a landscape format. Due to difficult access I was unable to shoot any other composition other than this. Whilst I thought I liked the regular image I recently discovered the benefits of a square crop which I felt took the eye directly to the peak of the rock formation.
I processed as a monochrome then added a little grain simulation in post to bring out the detail a little better in the sandstone and a little vignette.

Andrew, it'd be nice to see your other versions to compare.

Pretty crazy photo which I like a lot!
It amazes me the formations and compositions the sandstone slots offer.

Beautiful shot Andrew! It took me a few seconds to get my head around it, and that is awesome!
