I almost didn't see these 'glyphs until I was practically stepping on them as I'm not used to finding them on horizontal surfaces (& I didn't know there were any here). I missed sunset that time as I had an appointment to get to & wasn't sure of travel time. The next time, years later (Sept 2013), the road was washed out 5 miles from the trailhead from the floods. I tried again last December, and was able to get there. Had to drive down & through a dry arroyo on the way in, but it was mostly fixed when I drove out.
C&C? John Mumaw said to burn the mid ground & to the right of the boulder, which I've done in this version. Too much? Not enough? This is a 2 image blend for sky & foreground.

No nits here. This is an image I could sit back and immerse myself in for a good while.

Great image. Very natural , so very well toned and blended. The soft light goes well with subtle quality of the glyphs.

Cool shot! The blend is ok, but I think I might brighten the sky a tad (darker top portion) and try to even out the fg--the urhc seem considerably darker than the left side and front.

Thanks for your input. Stan, you're absolutely right -- I checked my raw file & the cloud in the upper right should still be pretty brilliant pink. I'll get it up on my big monitor & check out the foreground this weekend, too.
