I have photographed a lot of Eagles but have never seen one with black eyes. I was never able to see (or photograph) the other eye but have several shots in this sequence. The eye appears black in all of them. This is a pretty large crop to show the eye.
I'm curious if anyone has seen this before or knows anything about it? I've wondered if it was blind in that eye but without seeing the other one It's hard to say. He was flying very well. Thanks for any input!
