This chick just started to break the shell on Feb 28 Today the 28 of March this is it and mom. It has a brother or sister as well. The family has been getting a lot of attention. I have been waiting to get a shot with some interaction between parent and child and this is the first worth posting. Will probably post a shot of the siblings next. Yes almost all the photographers agree the limbs are not needed in the shot but they are there so I left them in.

While I agree that the twigs are a distraction, I also agree with you that they are a part of the Owl's environment. Wonderful "family portrait" of the two Owls, Kendall...good work
