The monsoons have arrived in Moab and every afternoon we've had these killer storms roll through the area. I shot this last night at Garden of Eden in Arches NP. I had hoped to get a bolt of lightning in the frame but alas, luck was not with me.
In the process of writing my new ebook, eFotoGuide: Arches National Park, I realized that I only had one photo from the Garden of Eden and I wanted to include two in the ebook. So, I took advantage of the killer conditions yesterday to make a few images. Stoked to shoot more in stormy conditions this summer!
As Doug says: "Subtle storm conditions". While I prefer a darker sky storm sky, this works as well for me. By the way, I visited Zion NP in May and used your wonderful eguide. It was very helpful.

An amazing scene, one I hope to see first-hand some day. Thanks for posting it!
Subtle storm conditions and realistic processing. Nice.
