Just wondering if you are working on a way to make the site more user friendly for smart phones and touch screens such as tablets.I rarely use my pc or laptop any more for online visits and find it very difficult to participate with the groups via touch screen device. Anyway just a thought.
Hey, Lorna, why not post this in the General Discussion forum. I think the topic is both current, and relevant.
Although I don't use a smart phone (luddite, I guess) many other here do, and I'm certain Jim would like to hear what folks have to say about having a mobile-friendly NPN.

Hey Lorna, I tend to use a tablet almost exclusively for participating on NPN. I'm not sure what issues you are having. Seems to work fine for me with touch screens. I do not post pics from the tablet, but pretty much do everything else.

I think I know what's happening. Got a new Iphone and the members only top bar feature is not there yet because I have not signed in on that device. Perhaps that's the problem you're having.

I am not very technial so bare with here while try to explain ! What happens on the ipad and my samsung is thet the bar comes up but I have to be very quick to bring down the menu and try to touch screen the group I want other wise I am play russian roullette and the page just selects something. So say I want Galleries .no problem there but then the second bar comes up with the galleries and over Galleries pops up the list but it is always landscapes .It does not allow me a choice .If I force hld the menu bar I get a chance to quickly grap a different choice but it usully takes a few tries to get to the ones I want to see. Once I am in it is not really an issue just getting there is a bit of a headache !
Hi Lorna, I'm not very technical either. In fact just got and Iphone and at first I had trouble with navigating the site. What I discovered that works for me is to expand the view before trying to make any selections. Hope that helps.

Hi Lorna: I was having the same problem on my Samsung tablet until I discovered a sneaky little pull-down menu for the forums on the right hand side near the top. It's at the topof the content section. In fact,if you scroll back to the top of this discussion you'll see it on the right hand side of the gray bar. It stays open so you can actually select the forum/gallery you want.

This may be toolittle too late but I know exactly what mean. On my Kindle Fire HDX the forum drop down in upper right corner works great but to get drop downs on menu bar to work I have to press and hold about a second or two and let go then the list will display. Since I have fat fingers I have to use the two finger zoom method to enlarge so I can select the option I want. On my Dell convertible 2 in 1 I have to do the same but sometimes it doesn't work so I flip back to PC mode to use the mouse or I use speech recognition to open the menu item I want. Since I use Windows based phone and touch PC I am not sure it will work on iOS.
