Strange Behavior When Editing a Post

Discussion

When I click the Edit link to edit a post, the comment box adds extra 'P' blocks below the text I've already written. The number of added blocks is variable.

Before I update/submit my edit, I have to delete the added empty blocks.

I am seeing this in IE 11 and Firefox.

I think this is happening to more folks than just me, since I notice extra space has been added to posts that have been edited.

Note: If you edit a post, click the icon (Show Blocks) just to the left of the "?" mark icon in the toolbar. Any empty blocks will show as empty rectangles with a upper case 'P' in the upper left corner.

Is anyone else seeing this behavior?

Yep, I had this issue a few weeks back. At the time Jim got into my post and could correct it by using " delete ". At first that seemed to work okay. However, shortly after that fix it did not seem to work for me any longer. Not sure what is the issue at this point.

Paul,

If you get those empty blocks, show the blocks, as per my OP. Next, place your cursor inside the block and then press the backspace key. You'll have to do this for each of the empty blocks.

That should remove the empty block(s).

I really like the editor, so I hope Jim can track down the issue.

Preston, that maybe what Jim actually did to my post a few weeks back now. I'll try to keep your fix in mind if I encounter this issue in the future......thanks!
