Thanks Preston!  When we set up the new thumbnails page, it was done so I can change the thumbnail background easily, giving the page an occassional new look.

To me the neutral supports the viewing of the images very well no matter what the subject, color, light or dark.......looks really good to me....enlightened

Looks very good, Jim!

Hi Jim,

Grey's looking good. ;) However, two minor nits: First, it appears that the vertical orientation for those table cells is set to top. I think it should be center, as currently, the tallest image is touching the upper frame, while some space remains at the bottom. Second, I think that the border around the grey cell is too prominent. When images that don't have a border/frame appear in the gallery, the table border draws too much attention. I would use a 1 px black line max, or no border at all (not sure what the latter would look like, but I feel that there was no border before...?). Just MHO. :)

Basil, thanks for your suggestions!

The extra space under the thumbnails is a 10-pixel cell reserved for the Editor's Pick graphic (which I need to update for the new bg color).

The border is an attempt to make it look like a picture frame, but I will remove it to see how it looks - the background file behind the thumbnails is easy to change!
