Rolled into town yesterday to find VERY little color happening. The Aspen are just starting to change but look healthy and unaffected by the fungus. The cottonwoods, though, seem to be skipping the color phase and just turning brown and dropping. No snow on the high peaks.

Thanks Bob for the update. I was going to leave tomorrow for a week in the area, but will wait until Oct 2. I hope some weather and color arrives next weekend.

I have been in Lake City (just over the mtns from Ouray) for the last two days and the colors seem very good over here although there are clones that have been hit by the fungus. Better color on the Lake City side of Engineer Pass road but Lake City side of Cinnamon Pass road has some good areas also. I would estimate that Aspens are 70 to 80 percent turned here now.
