I am new to posting and trying to follow the instructions for NPN. Under Image size and Pixel dimensions there is the screenshot showing the bicubic selection. In Photoshop Elements 13 I get the options of Biccubic best for smooth gradients,
Bicubic best for enlargments, and Bicubic best for reduction.
Which option should I use when posting.
I use CS6, but the Image Size sampling choices should be similar to Elements.
BiCubic (Best for smooth gradients)
BiCubic Smoother (Best for elargements)
BiCubic Sharper (Best for reductions)
Personally, I would use BiCubic (best for smooth gradients) for images for the Web/NPN. You could try BiCubic Sharper for images with lots of detail and no smooth areas like skies.
In either case, you'll need to be mindful of how sharpening your image after resizing affects image quality. If you go to CANP/ Resources page and scroll down, you'll see a sharpening technique that works very well; "Sharpening for the Web in Photo Shop"
