Hi Folks,
I'm thinking about submitting a few of my lizard pictures to Ranger Rick Jr. Magazine. They have a request out right now for a September publication. I have a dickens of a time identifying, or rather distinguishing between Western Fence Lizards and the various types of sage lizards. Can anyone help with the images posted here? Or help me with a good site for differential identification? Each image is numbered. The first is #1 and the one I am most confident about, but I'll wait to hear your take:

Number 2 is the Western Fence Lizard, Sceloporus occidentalis. At least that's what it was called in the 70's. Number 1 is probably the same but it's hard to see the markings.
