I posted this in the photo art forum, but thought I'd share here as well.
As the title suggests, this is just some fun I was having in PS. This is a composite of two frames, I came to this location on this morning because the moon was setting at sunrise. I arrived early only to find the moon was not setting in the best spot to be used for photographic purposes, so I shot it alone using a telephoto and figured I could maybe have some fun in PS compositing the 2 frames. The moon was just to the left of this frame.
Zack,
Ya know, the moon really makes this scene. I thought the original post was a little bland but the moon just makes it "awesome". This type of manipulation has been done many times before. My first photography class I took had a lesson called "moons in the refrigerator"
The instructor told us to shoot a whole roll of film with the moon placed in the same spot. Then we were told to rewind the roll of film and go out and shoot the roll over again and make a double exposure with the moon in every shot. The reason he called it "moons in the refrigerator is because film keeps better in the cold(of course).IMHO, this is pretty much the same thing.
