New Forest Pony.
Canon 10D, Canon 100-400mm L I.S.@ 260mm, 1/1000 sec @ f5.6,

Hi,

One of my favourite subjects.

This New Forest mare came galloping across the heath, probably looking for one of her companions, she came to an abrupt halt and the alert posture is a result of seeing me at the last minute crouched amongst the gorse and heather where I was photographing deer at the time.

All comments always welcome and appreciated.

Super shot, exposure on the rim-lighting is spot-on!

Very nice Justin. A subject which is right on my doorstep (literally!) but for some reason have never taken advantage of. Love the backlighting effect.

Fantastic, love the muted colours and the black branches almost grasping up from the ground, nice work

Hi Justin

An attractive shot, nice back lighting without losing detail on the shady side of the animal. Overall a very tranquil feel to the image and nicely seen and captured.
