I have just taken delivery of the new 1DX mark II and had a problem with shooting yesterday when the aperture suddenly went to 0.0 and I could not get it to change. I removed the battery, etc to try to reset it, changed to program, no luck. It finally reset after removing and reinstalling the lens. Anyone else having this issue? I see some folks have mentioned this issue with the Mark II on other forums. Also managed to get the body to completely freeze up when I was hitting the start/stop button and moved it from video to stills, it didn't seem to like that much. Had to remove the battery to get things to reset. Seems like maybe some issues for a firmware update?
Thanks!

Aperture 0.0 is usually a communication issue between lens and body so removing and reinstalling lens makes sense.  Hopefully you checked the contacts on the lens for any foreign substance, etc.  As far as other issues, I've had mine and used the heck out of it for over a month with no issues.  My only guess on the freeze up is perhaps clicking buttons too rapidly one after the other?  Of course, I have no use for video at all and so do not use it.  Wish video would be left to video cameras actually but that's a whole another discussion.

It only seems to happen on the new body and not on my Mark I bodies, same lens. Sounds like a contact issue on the new body?

Since brand new, just send back to Canon while under warranty and see what they say.
