Hi Folks,
I'm not sure whether this is an appropriate question to ask, but I'm wondering whether anyone is willing to let me borrow (or meet with me briefly to use) their Monitor calibration system.  I got a new laptop, and  would like to calibrate it without a) paying someone or b) spending $200 on my own spyder or color munki tools.  If this is like piracy in your mind, let me know.  It just seems like the photography equivalent of the 24 foot extension ladder: everyone needs one occasionally, but it seems silly for everyone in the neighborhood to have their own.

Let me know if I can buy you a beer or cup of coffee for your trouble.  I'm in Portland, so Seattle might be further than worth it, but Olympia to Eugene to Hood River would feel like a net gain.

I would love to help out Marylynne but I'm up in Seattle area.  I'm not sure how it will work either.  Before you can calibrate, you have to install and register the software.  I haven't tried it but I'm curious if the system will allow it to be installed and active on more than 1 computer.  I'd love to know if you are able to do it so please keep us updated.

I'd be happy to send mine to you to borrow, but the catch is one has to calibrate every month or so, ideally. I will be home in a week or so (in florida moving my 95 yr old father to CA) and will contact you. Dont hesitate to email me if i screw up and forget.  Sandy8
