Pileated woodpecker
So I spent some time with a family of Pileated woodpeckers on the fourth of July before things went crazy.
I think it is a little tight on the bottom but as I was shooting with a fixed focal lenght there is not much I could do about it.
Canon 7d 1/200th of a sec at f5.6 ISO 400 and 400mm.

It is a bit tight on the bottom but it is also a very nice shot.  Excellent detail, especially on the head, and good light.  These are such cool birds.

Nice catch of this very elusive and shy' pecker. Fine feather detail and pose. Very well-done.

Great pose, Wade.  I agree on the tail and a little more room all around wouldn't hurt, but I always hate to move when I have a cooperative bird-at least until I know I have some good shots on the card.
