Any Nikon shooters out there currently using the Sigma 150-600mm C lens on a D500 body? If so how's it working for you? Any issues to be aware of? Thinking seriously about this combination but just wondering if there's any hidden surprises lurking. Thanks in advance for any info.

Add me to the list with the same question but also if you have FX body, such as D810, how would you compare and contrast the two cameras with the Sigma lens?  Thanks.

John & David:  I poked around on-line and it looks like there was an early problem when combining the 150-600 with Sigma's 1.4TC on the D500, but it was quickly solved.  That's the only issue I saw.  That D500 looks like a sweet camera.  If I were a Nikon user, I'd be sorely tempted by it.

Thanks for the comments guys. I've been using a D750 for the last couple of years and absolutely love it. I'm mostly a bird photographer however and am finding that probably 80% of my shots are using the cropped mode on the 750. My old D300s is really showing it's age and I'm thinking just the vast improvement with the AF system and vastly higher dynamic range with the D500 makes it  worth the investment.

I believe Charles Gangas has a D810 and D500 but I don't know if he has a Sigma telephoto?  He is primarily an avian photographer I believe.
