I've had a productive macro shooting weekend, lots of baby ladybugs, florals, and funny looking leafhoppers. But, this is my favorite so far. He was nosing around blossems next to the driveway.

Handheld image taken with reversed lens on a 50mm prime and diffused speedlight. f/14 at 1/200th.

A wonderful macro shot, Andy! Great definition combined with super color coordination between the green of the bee and the red hues of the flowers pushes this one over the edge for me!

Thanks everyone!

I had an "Oh, crap!" moment this morning. While converting another image from RAW I noticed the size was set to 1024 pixels. Ouch, I wonder how long that's gone unnoticed? Looking in my archives revealed that it's been that way for the last 3 weeks. Not so bad for color corrections, but the more complex images with layer blends and masking will be more complicated to recreated. Oh well, the process is half the fun.
