Okay. What's the secret? I can't seem to use Genuine Fractals since I installed Photoshop CS2. I bet Microsoft included a substitute to use with its new program. Can anyone share that with me?
Go to the link below. At the bottom of the page are some links for Updates and Patches. Select and then download the appropriate update depending on your OS and your product.
If you have a previous version of 'Fractals' installed, the installer will offer to remove the previous version. Click Yes. The uninstaller will run, do its thing, and then close.
Next, run the installation program as you did before, being sure the path is ...\...\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS2\Plug-Ins\Adobe Photoshop Only. Now install the update. Voila!
When you open CS2, you will notice a new item called "onOne" in the command bar. Click it and you will see the command for Genuine Fractals 4.1.
The installer also places shortcuts to the "Help" files in a folder on your start menu.
Let us know if this works.

Edit- ps: The first time you open GF after install it will ask for the serial number. I tried the one that came with my original CD: It didn't work; said it was not valid. Grrr! I have sent an e-mail to onOne Software regarding this issue. I'll let you now what I find out. Right now, it's DRT (Dead Right There)
Received my upgrade disc and absolutely love the new and improved Genuine Fractals 4.1! So easy to use. Never fails, when I have a question about photography I can get the answer quickly on a naturephotographer forum! Thanks again Preston for pointing me in the right direction.

Save the .zip file to your HD.
Be sure to close CS2 if it is running.
Open the file.

You're quite welcome! I am glad it worked out for you.
I contacted the vendor and they would not honor my just over 1 year old license, so I would have had to pay the full upgrade price. Not!
I still have PS 6.0 installed, which supports the version I do have; so if I need it I can still use it.
