Recent trip to France
Hi folks!  It's been mighty quite here recently.

I spent almost 3 weeks in France with my family and friends this fall so I thought I'd post some of the photos from the trip.  This first is too much of an icon but what the heck.  It was taken during our first day.  We left Paris and headed to the Normandy coast the next morning.

This shot was hand held from a tour boat on the Seine river.

This second shot is the Hanfleur harbor on the Normandy coast.  Pretty little town on the east end of Normandy.  This is also hand held.

Here's another icon shot.  Mont Saint Michel is quite striking at night.  Unfortunately the tide was low so I couldn't get a reflection shot.

Here's another night shot.  This one is the port of Dinan in the Brittany region.  Dinan is a walled medieval city with most of the wall still intact.  We stayed at a 1500 year old hotel.  Very cool place!

This is another shot from the port of Dinan.  This was taken the next morning is the fog.  This is a pano from 2 shots taken hand held.  I took so many hand held because my travel mates were not very patient and using the tripod was too much of an inconvenience (to them).

This is the chateaux of Beynac and was occupied by King Richard the Lionheart for 10 years.  There are people still living in this castle, but most of it is open to the public (for a small fee of course).

Hi Steve,

Fantastic shots!  Really enjoy seeing them all...but I especially like the night shot of Mont St Michel. Superb even w/o the reflection.

Beautiful shots, Steve.  Really nice night photography.  You must have had a great time.

Thanks for sharing, Steve. The Eiffel Tower looks better at night than it does in the day. Lol.

While I really like all of the images, my favorite is the foggy Dinan image. Sounds like you need to find some more compatible traveling companions.  Thanks for posting these.
