I stopped contributing to WWF many years ago. For me, non-human animals, every one of them, are sentient individuals, and all of them have the same rights - and also the same rights as human animals, by the way. Organizations such as WWF, Audubon, etc. see non-human animals as species, and prioritize the rights of some species over those of others. That is completely unacceptable to me. This is another example of their hypocrisy - thank you for drawing attention to it.

Ken, what can be done about it? And, how can we know this is not another "Fake news story"?

I have known for years that WWF is not exactly reputable.
A friend of mine used to be their African boss, he resigned!
As to what can be done, probably nothing other than do not give them money!
Survival International is on the other hand an entirely reputable charity who quite correctly have awarded their "Racist of the Year Award" to Ian Khama the president of Botswana who whilst professing his countries ban on hunting (which is entirely untrue) attempts to wipe out the Kalahari Bushmen.
